7 April ,1968 inMaribor ) is aSlovenia n footballer who has represented his country at the two major tournaments for which they have qualified (Euro 2000 andFootball World Cup 2002 ). He currently plays forNK Olimpija .He played for the youth teams of
NK Ljubljana , later as professional also for city rivalsNK Olimpija . In 1992 he was transferred to Austria's 2nd division sideGrazer AK , where he had great success, became idol for the fans and player for his national side. With his steady powerful midfield-play he helped the Athletiks back to top-flight in 1995, became soon one of Austrians top-clubs again. After winning Cup and Supercup in 2000 and 2002 he left GAK in summer 2003 for a short-term forNK Maribor until winter 2004, before he went back to Austria, this time for Second Division sideLASK Linz , where he played from spring 2005 to summer 2006.After that he moved to NK Olimpija. He plans to retire from football after the 2008/09 season. He also works as a youth coach at the club.
