Eastern Suburbs season 1909

Eastern Suburbs (now known as the Sydney Roosters) competed in their second New South Wales Rugby League season in 1909. They won 5 of their 11 games and were eliminated in the Minor Semi-Final by the Balmain Tigers.

Four players were sent off for fighting, and a fifth, Easts captain Larry O'Malley was sent off for kicking.

* Eastern Suburbs made the semi-finals.

* Eastern Suburbs again won the reserve grade competition.

* Represetatives:- Dave Brown(Australia), Dan Frawley(Australia), Mick Frawley(Australia), Larry O'Malley(Australia, NSW), Sandy Pearce(Australia)and Johnno Stuntz(Australia).

* Larry O'Malley was the second Australian captain to come from the Eastern Suburbs club.
