Genevieve Goings

Genevieve Goings (a.k.a. Viva) is a singer, songwriter, and voice talent.

Her parents are both musicians and Goings grew up in front of live audiences. She developed her vocal talents through years of performing. Beginning her career in hip-hop, the artist found herself featured in a multitude of live shows and studio albums. To date, she can be heard on over 50 albums.

Goings co-wrote an album with her band Legato in 2003. Partnered with producer Roland Apikelis, the duo toured the West Coast promoting their self-titled album. Goings also composes for other rising artists, and has partnered with fellow musician Cait La Dee, with whom she performed in the group Chemistry.

After the completion of "Diversity Personified", Goings' first solo album, she is working with her label, Vibe Street Records, on tours and distribution. Her publishing company, Viva La Vocals Music, is building its catalogue of songs and has found additional success in licensing and songwriting.

Choo Choo Soul

Goings met video game designer Greg Johnson while recording dialogue for , the first Xbox version of the ToeJam & Earl video game series. Together with music director Burke Treischmann, in 2004 the three released "Choo Choo Soul", a hip hop-styled children's album that is now out of print. On October 31, 2006, Walt Disney Records released "Choo Choo Soul", a 12-track album available through the iTunes Store and other online music outlets. It features most of the same songs as the 2004 release.

Beginning in May 2006, a series of Choo Choo Soul interstitial programs began airing in the United States during the Playhouse Disney programming block on the Disney Channel. The music-video style shorts feature Goings performing Choo Choo Soul songs with a group of young children in a blend of live action and computer animation.

Choo Choo Soul has performed live on several occasions in 2007, including September and October shows at the Disney-MGM Studios theme park at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and a performance at the Boston Globe Children's Book Festival in Boston, Massachusetts on September 15.
