Simon Carless is a
video game industry journalist , editor andgame designer . He was born inLondon, England , but has since moved to San Jose, California. Simon commutes toSan Francisco where he works for CMP Technology as the Editorial Director in the CMP Game Group including editing both "Game Developer Magazine " and the Webby Award winningGamasutra . Simon is chairman and a judge for theIndependent Games Festival and in 2007 led the Independent Games Summit as part of theGame Developers Conference . Simon regularly contributes to GameSetWatch.com, an alternative video game web log which is part ofGamasutra .He was formerly the editor of the games page on
