Bob Murphy (golfer)

Robert Joseph Murphy, Jr. (born February 14, 1943) is an American golfer.

Murphy was born in Brooklyn, New York. He won the 1965 U.S. Amateur Championship and the 1966 NCAA championship while at the University of Florida, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.Fact|date=October 2007 He graduated in 1966 and turned pro in 1967. He won five times on the PGA Tour. He was a member of the 1975 Ryder Cup team. He has won 11 times on the Senior PGA Tour (now the Champions Tour). He is now a tower announcer for NBC Sports golf coverage.
