Annhurst College

Annhurst College

Annhurst College was a private Catholic college in South Woodstock, Connecticut. The college's curriculum was career-focused.

It was founded by the Daughters of the Holy Spirit in 1941 as Ker-Anna Junior College and changed its name two years later. It closed in 1980, after which its rural convert|200|acre|km2|sing=on campus was sold to the Data General Corporation.

Annhurst was a women's college for most of its history and at the time of its closing had approximately full-time 400 students; 25 students overall were male.

One of its notable former students is the fugitive Victor Manuel Gerena.
