The school has two permanent buildings, two gymnasiums, two libraries, two computer labs, science labs, an auditorium, and three athletic fields (including one
FieldTurf field). The construction of Southridge was funded by private donations, largely from parents. Although construction was initially opposed by abutters, amidst claims of potential property devaluation, it was eventually approved by the town board in 1993.Academics

Annually, in the month of November, a
Gala is held to showcase the school, for many of its parents and staff. The event also produces income for charitable uses within the School. As well, an annual Concert and Play are organized by the Arts department. During the Spring, a golf tournament is held at nearbyMorgan Creek Golf Course to raise funds in support of organizations. Summer camps provide summer activities for youth, including computers and hiking. Surrey Model UN is a new project being undertaken by students to start up aModel United Nations for the Surrey Area. Free the Children and "Leaders Today". These "Non-Governmental Organizations" were established byCraig Kielburger to help prevent poverty and distress in developing nations. Southridge is an exclusive partner with Semiahmoo House a local charity that supports the disabled in the vicinity. The Global Leadership Academy is offered each summer in cooperation with Leaders Today and Free the Children. In 2005, TREK (Teens Running for Every Kid) was created; a 5km run for youth ages 13-19 with 100% of the proceeds donated to building a school in Kenya with the organization Free the Children.Rankings
