The UB I type submarine was a class of U-boat built during World War I by the Kaiserliche Marine.
UB I boats carried 2 torpedoes, no deck gun and a crew of 14 and had a cruising range of around 1,600 miles. 17 were built in 1914 and 1915 [ [http://uboat.net/wwi/types/index.html?type=UB+I uboat.net - U-boat War in WWI - U-boat Types ] ] and three more for Austro-Hungary.
