Economics (textbook)

"Economics" is an introductory textbook by American economists Paul Samuelson and William Nordhaus. It was first published in 1948, and has appeared in eighteen different editions, the most recent in 2004. It was the best selling economics textbook for decades [http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1282/is_n19_v41/ai_7998155/pg_1] , selling over 300,000 copies of each edition from 1961 through 1976 [http://www.mskousen.com/Books/Articles/perserverance.html] . The book has been translated into forty-one languages and in total sold over four-million copies.

"Economics" was written entirely by Samuelson until the 1985 twelfth edition. New editions have been primarily written by Nordhaus.
