Jane Allsop

Jane Allsop (born July 3, 1975 in Oxford, England) is an Australian actress, best known for her role as Jo Parrish on "Blue Heelers".

Career

Allsop was born in the United Kingdom, and shortly after birth moved to the United States, as her surgeon father moved around a lot. At a young age, her family settled in Mont Albert, Melbourne in Australia. Allsop showed an interest in acting from a young age, and after finishing school, she studied at the Victorian College of the Arts.

Whilst studying, Allsop guest starred on television series such as "Neighbours" (1995) and "Halifax f.p." (1998). After graduating in 1998, Allsop returned to "Neighbours" as a different character for several months.

In 1996, Allsop had auditioned for the role of Dash McKinley on "Blue Heelers" but had been unsuccessful, losing out on the role to Tasma Walton. She did, however, obtain a guest role in a 1997 episode. After graduating, she auditioned for the show again and won the lead role of Joanna "Jo" Parrish. Allsop played the role from 1999 until 2004 when her character was killed as part of a major revamp of the show.

In 2005, Allsop guest starred on "Last Man Standing", and in four episodes of "MDA".

In 2007, Allsop had portrayed TV actress and comedian Noeline Brown in the tele-movie, [ [http://www.smh.com.au/news/tv--radio/crowning-glory/2007/05/12/1178899166896.html Crowning glory] "(via smh.com.au) 14 May 2007"] .

In 2007, Allsop guest starred as Dianna Murry a Barrister now working with Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) & Rosetta Cammeniti (Natalie Saleeba) working on the Napier Vs. Aaronow case in "Neighbours". She only appeared for a few weeks.

Personal life

Her de facto partner is David Serafin. In May 2006, they had a baby boy, Indiana Zac Serafin.
