Heather Suttie is a Scottish television and radio presenter based in Glasgow.She is currently a DJ on
Xfm Scotland . Previously she hosted the Beat 106 Breakfast Show before taking the coveted role of drivetime presenter which she's successfully presented since 2004. She now presents weekend Breakfast on the station.She previously presented BBC Children's Saturday morning show "
Live & Kicking ", Children's Science Programme Hyperlinks, ITV2's flagship youth entertainement show "Bedrock" and appeared regularly on Channel 4's' 'MovieWatch". Suttie has more than 500 hours live TV experience and has worked with Princess Productions, Done & Dusted, Blink TV, ITV2, BBC1 and BBC2. She most recently hosted Scotland With Style on STV.Suttie does regular guest DJ spots, and was the featured DJ at the fashion designer
Matthew Williamson 's recent after show party at theEdinburgh Fashion Festival. She is also found to be hosting corporate events and undertakes regular charity work with NCH Scotland, Breast Cancer Care and The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.She is also an Ambassador for The Princes Trust.She also has a weekly column in
The Sunday Post newspaper which covers "The Showbiz Scene" and writes a DPS forThe Evening Times on Going Out.Most recently Suttie has set up an eco movement [ [http://www.saynotoplastic.co.uk] / Say No to Plastic] to encourage Scots to stop using plastic bags. The campaign has been endorsed by Xfm and The Daily Record with commitment from fellow Scots Fran Healy of Travis, Julyan Sinclair, Sarah Heaney, Janice Forsythe, Shantha Roberts, The Futureheads, The Courteeners and more than 2000 supporters on her website and Facebook Group Say No To Plastic.
She has produced a range of bags for NCH Scotland's Women of Influence Lunch 2008 and a limited edition bag celebrating 25 years of The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice. She also collaborates with musicians and artists on bespoke creations.
She has appeared on BBC National news, Radio 2's Jeremy Vine Show, BBC Radio Scotland and The Today Programme on Radio 4 promoting the anti plastic message.
Suttie is also a huge fan of vintage clothing and promotes the reduce, reuse, recycle message with her Say No To Plastic Charity Vintage Sales.
An accomplished awards host, she has worked with the CIS Excellence Awards (2005-2008 ), The Evening Times Local Heroes Awards ( 2007-2008 ), The Scottish Style Awards (2007 ), Property Executive Awards (2007-2008 in Glasgow & Manchester ), The Evening Times Woman of the Year Awards 2008 and The NCH Scotland WOI Lunch 2007 and has hosted a number ofevents for The Princes Trust.
