She was previously married to Reverend Thomas Hoover ofCranbury, New Jersey . Catharine died onSeptember 16 ,1886 and was buried in Westminster Cemetery in Cranbury. He next married Annie Rue (1872-1910) onJanuary 23 ,1900 . They were both murdered by John Sears who was convicted and sentenced to die in theelectric chair onMarch 10 ,1911 . Sears was the nineteenth criminal given theelectric chair inNew Jersey and the firstMercer County, New Jersey resident.References
