Formed in 2000, [http://www.mousepoint.com MousePoint] was a late blooming Internet startup company in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The company moved along with its president to Lanark County, Ontario, Canada in 2001 and its direction moved more towards community based technology delivery. In 2005 the company made much progress in the opening of MousePoint's "The Friendly Computer Centre", a retail business and technology centre in the village of Lanark, Ontario. The centre has a general store approach to the technology products and services it provides.

Prior to forming MousePoint, Robert Eady, the company's president, was a consultant and developer of Internet technologies and web portal sites aimed at education, entertainment and healthcare.
