Portland Symphony Orchestra

The Portland Symphony Orchestra, established in 1923 in Portland, Maine, is a fully professional symphony that is recognized as being one of the top orchestras of its size in the country. The orchestra performs a wide variety of concerts, frequently featuring world-class guest artists, at the Merrill Auditorium in Portland. Robert Moody was appointed Music Director in May 2007. The concert season runs from September to May and during July. One of the PSO's most popular offerings is Magic of Christmas which has been a tradition for over 25 years.
