- George Cardona
George Cardona is an American linguist and Indologist. He is professor emeritus of
linguistics at theUniversity of Pennsylvania . His areas of interest includeIndo-European studies and Indian grammatical theory, in particular theNyaya andMimamsa schools. He is also known as an authority on Gujarati, for which he has been honored with membership in theGujarati Sahitya Parishad .Honors
