routes_of_administration =Gallamine (as gallamine triethiodide) is a
non-depolarising muscle relaxant . It acts by combining with thecholinergic receptor sites inmuscle and competitively blocking the transmitter action ofacetylcholine . Gallamine has aparasympatholytic effect on the cardiacvagus nerve which causestachycardia and occasionallyhypertension . Very high doses causehistamine release.Gallamine is commonly used to stabilize muscle contractions during surgical procedures.
