The Grove's history

The school on this site first opened in 1959. Prior to 1994 there were separate First and Middle schools, but in 1994 they became the present Grove Primary School. There are two teaching blocks: the reception and infant children are housed in one, with their own hall; the junior children are housed in the other which also has a hall, kitchens, computer suite and offices.

The grounds are extensive, including a large playing field, three playgrounds, a small outside stage, adventure playground equipment, early years' garden, a friendship garden and a wildlife area.

Awards

The school holds the following awards:
* Investors in People, re-accredited in June 2006.
