Urdu : شادیوال) is a town ofGujrat District in Punjab province,Pakistan , situated between the river Chenab and the Upper Jhelum Canal. It was a small village at the end of last century but is now a developed town with a town committee. The development of Shadiwal took a step further with the building of apower plant on the upper Jhelum canal during thesixties . The population of Shadiwal is a mixture ofJat s and Rehmani and other tribes. It is famous for its clay utensils. Shadiwal is now a model town in punjab province having a very efficient Rural Health Center that has a doctor, a lady doctor and a dental surgeon. A police station and an emergency police kiosk is also protecting the people of town.By road, it is a travel of fifteen minutes from Gujrat city.
