1958 controversy

Hassaacas were expelled from their base in Sekondi during 1958 as a result of a conflict with the Ghanaian Amateur Football Association. Hasaacas declined a request to play a mid-week friendly ahead of a key match against Kumasi Cornestone. The football association forced Hasaacas to move to Tarkwa as their home base. This decision was reversed following the coup in 1966 and a move back to Sekondi. At the same time as the repatriation, rival club Sekondi Indepence Club were banned.
