When viewing analog 59, a scroll with the station name and call sign is scrolling on the screen. This was done in order to meet the deadline for FCC approval to keep the license for the station.
WRDE is currently broadcasting from the Nassau Valley Vineyard, directly off of Coastal Highway by the Nassau Bridge, on Analog channel 59. Originally, a digital broadcast on channel 31 would come from the same tower, but station officials have decided the new digital signal will be broadcast from a tower north of Long Neck, Delaware, on the same tower as WGMD-FM. The signal will reach as far north as the Smyrna/Dover, DE area, as far east as Wildwood, New Jersey, as far south as Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and Ocean City, Maryland, and as far west as Seaford, Delaware.
The station will begin full programing during October 2008, broadcasting on Digital 31 and on Comcast Cable Channel 9.
