Sebastian Mantilla (born 1979) is a filmmaker and screenwriter from Spain, known for his acclaimed 2004 short film, "Con diva" ("With Diva"). Other works include "Looking for Marton", "The Other Voice", "White", and "Bully the Kid". "Next to Babilonia" is his independent feature film debut about the spanish mercenaries during the Iraq war, winner of Best First Film award at Madrid Int'l. Film Festival- FILMA MADRID 2008

Quito ,Ecuador , and was raised inStockholm ,Berlin ,Bucharest andBrussels . He graduated from the University Pompeu Fabra - IDEC inBarcelona with amockumentary shot inBudapest , "Looking for Marton". This film would approach the lives of Hungarian painterLaszlo Marton and GermanHans Moeller , a man who never accepted Marton's freedom.In 2004 he shot "Con diva", the story of a
homosexual Muslim who is trying to survive in Barcelona. It received recognition after its first broadcast onTelevisión Española , and confirmed its potential, not only at the "Cannes Film Festival", where it was screened during the prestigiousCritic's Week , but also at the "Sundance Film Festival". In 2005 he shot "The Other Voice, White" and "Bully the Kid" in Brazil and Spain.He is now postproducing his short documentary The Captain and in preproduction of his next film Canal developed at the prestigious Script&Pitch and Torino Film Lab.
