Asian American political organization founded in January 2002. It began as a communityblog forAsian American s onLiveJournal and launched its own domain on May 8, 2002. The campaign desires to have the charges dropped and the policeman who fired the shots investigated. In only eight days over 8,300 people signed the campaign's online petition calling for the mask's recall while generating nation-wide television, print, and radio media coverage. By the end of the eighth day the company issued a nation-wide recall and major resellers such asWalmart ,Spencer Gifts andParty City pulled the product from their shelves.
