Lycée Lyautey (Casablanca)

Lycée Lyautey is the name of a high school belonging to the French Mission in Casablanca, Morocco.

The name of the Lyautey College of Casablanca comes from that of the Marshal Lyautey, the first Resident-General in Morocco during French Protectorate at Morocco, during first half of 20th century.It is the most important high school in terms of pupils (3850 students) and one of the larger French high school(12 ha). It is located in the Bourgogne neighbohood, and it is one of the most multicultural high school in Morocco since a large part of students are from Europeen countries. The high school has a very strong reputation and it is considered among the best French High schools. The rate of students who pass the Baccalaureat is supperior to 95%(whereas the national rate in France is aroound 85% in 2007). The high school is endowed with modern facilities. There is a large number of courts for sport(tennis, soccer, handball, softball, basketball...), a large hall for theatre, and many laboratories for students who are specialized in Science.
