He made hisNASCAR debut in 1993 at Watkins Glen, starting 15th and finishing 31st after his #75Mark III Vans Oldsmobile suffered transmission failure. He also made hisWinston Cup debut that year at Watkins Glen as well, finishing 13th in the #39 PedigreeChevrolet . He'd run the Cup race at Watkins Glen the next year as well, but finished 36th.In 1995, Lagasse signed to drive the #24
DuPont Chevrolet Silverado forHendrick Motorsports in the fledgingCraftsman Truck Series . He posted seven top-ten finishes and finished ninth in points. Despite this, Lagasse was released in favor ofJack Sprague . He would run four races in the #77 the next year, his best finish being a seventeenth atNazareth Speedway .In 1997, Lagasse ran nine races in the #22 owned by Allen Bloom, but wrecked four times and did not finish any higher than 25th. He had a ninth-place start at Watkins Glen in
