Smith designed many different kinds of buildings around Toronto.
His buildings include St. Simon, near Bloor St. E. and St. John the Evangelist, Portland St., otherwise known as the Garrison Church, which was demolished in November, 1963,
Grace Church on the Hill andSt. Thomas Anglican Church , where he was a parishioner.During the
First World War , he built threeCarnegie libraries for theToronto Public Library : the [http://www.tpl.toronto.on.ca/abo_his_car_wychwood.jsp Wychwood branch] , the [http://www.tpl.toronto.on.ca/abo_his_car_highpark.jsp High Park branch] , and the [http://www.tpl.toronto.on.ca/abo_his_car_beaches.jsp Beaches branch] . In 1913, he designed the Riverdale Courts, later the [http://www.100bain.com/ Bain Co-op] , an early low-income housing project nearWithrow Park in Riverdale. He designed many of the homes in theWychwood Park neighbourhood and built around 2,500 residences in Toronto over his career.External links
