Mount's Bay
Long Rock has a large beach suitable for both families and dog owners (dogs are only permitted on the eastern stretch between September 1st and Easter each year).
Community Facilities
There is a playing field situated behind Trescoe Road. Although the playing field is in need of investment and repairs, it is used regularly by young people in the area for a range of activities. Penwith District Council built a new 'amenity area' on wasteland close to the A30 - a controversial decision as some residents felt money should have been given to the playing field association instead for essential repairs. An argument was raised that a village the size of Long Rock did not require two public open spaces. However, it is felt by many residents that the playing field should be supported further as an important facility for young people and the wider community.
Accommodation, Food and Drink, Getting Around
There is a cheap 'B&B' in Long Rock (The Mount View Hotel) and a popular public house (The Mexico Inn) frequented by villagers. Other facilities include a shop, post office and frequent buses into Penzance (the nearest town) roughly every 10 minutes.
Parking
Parking is limited (especially during the summer months, when cars heading for the beach often have to park in the nearby industrial estate). The village is situated on 'The Cornish Way' network of cycle paths.
