Ernesto Scorsone is an American lawyer, politician and judge from Kentucky. A Democrat, he was appointed to the Fayette County Circuit Court on 2008-08-07 by Governor Steve Beshear. Until August 2008, he had been a member of the Kentucky State Senate, representing the Lexington-based 13th district since 1996. From 1984 to 1996, Scorsone served in the Kentucky House of Representatives. In 1996, he was elected to the Kentucky State Senate by a wide margin, being re-elected unopposed in 2000 and 2004.

In 1998 Scorsone was the Democratic nominee for the open 6th district seat in the United States House of Representatives but he lost the general election to Republican Ernie Fletcher by seven points (53–46%). Fletcher, who would go on to be elected Governor, had himself unsuccessfully sought the seat two years earlier.

Scorsone earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky in 1973 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1976.
