Two Brothers Brewing

Two Brothers Brewing

The Two Brothers Brewing Company is a microbrewery located in the western Chicago suburb of Warrenville, Illinois. It was founded by the eponymous brothers Jim and Jason Ebel in 1996. They also run a homebrew supply store at the same location. Their beers are served at many upscale bars in Illinois and Wisconsin.

They brew an American blonde ale called Prairie Path Ale (after the Illinois Prairie Path), a brabant ale called Domaine DuPage (after DuPage County), an American pale ale called The Bitter End, and a hefeweizen called Ebel's Weiss (a play on "Edelweiss").

They have five seasonally produced beers: Brown Fox mild English-style brown ale in the spring; Monarch Wit beer for the brewery's March anniversary; Dog Days Dortmunder Export lager in the summer; Heavy Handed IPA in the Fall; and Northwind Imperial stout for the winter. The Northwind Imperial stout was known as Iditarod prior to threats of legal action by the Iditarod race organizers.

They have also been producing an Artisan line of exotic beers. The first beer in this line was Bare Tree Weiss Wine, a strong wheat ale. 2006 offerings have included Hop Juice India pale ale, Incinerator Blonde Dopplebock, Cane and Ebel Rye beer, and Philosopher's Stone Black Saison.

On 26 March 2007, Two brothers Brewing celebrated its 10th anniversary at Charlie's Ale House in Wheaton, Illinois with the tapping of "10", an oak-aged kriek pseudo-lambic (a beer in the style of spontaneously fermented Belgian beers to which cherries were added).
