Erin Phillips

Erin Victoria Phillips (born May 19 1985) is an Australian professional women's basketball player. In the United States, she currently plays for the Connecticut Sun in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and for Adelaide Lightning in the WNBL (Women's National Basketball League).

Personal

Phillips is the daughter of Greg Phillips, a longtime Australian rules football star. She did not begin to play the game of basketball until she was 13.

College years

Phillips attended college in Australia.

WNBA career

Phillips was selected 21st overall in the 2nd round of the 2005 WNBA Draft by the Connecticut Sun. She chose to remain in Australia for a year before joining the Sun in 2006.

International career

At age 19, Phillips made the Australian basketball national team.

Erin Phillips created controversy earlier this month (April 2008) when she did a photo shoot for men's magazine Alpha wearing skimpy SpencerLacy lingerie.
