"Heartbeats" is the first single from The Knife's 2003 album "Deep Cuts", released on 27 December 2002. Upon the success of an acoustic cover version by José González, it was re-released 4 October 2004.

Cover versions

The song was covered by José González on his album "Veneer" and released as its first single in 2006, peaking at #9 on the UK singles chart. This version of the song was used in a Sony Bravia advertisement.

The song was covered by Belgian girls choir Scala & Kolacny Brothers on their 2006 release "It All Leads to This".

Critical reception

The critical reception to the song was generally favourable.
