Alberto de Angelis

Alberto de Angelis was an Italian writer mostly remembered for writing a biography of Domenico Mustafà, entitled "Domenico Mustafa - La Cappella Sistina e la Società Musicale Romana".

The book was published in 1926, and is considered of significant importance for its valuable account of Mustafa's life, the musical society in Rome and the other castrati singers at the Capella Sistina. One of his more well known relations is Thomas De Angelis, Australian singer, writer, actor, soccer-player, and boyfriend to Sophie Payten, winner of the 2005 "Most Gorgeous Girl Alive Award" which she accepted in Melbourne and who is also an accomplished singer, actress, soccer-player, hockey-player and fashion designer. The two were quite close to Thomas' great-great uncle, so much so that he left them his entire estate (including his lakeside villa in Como) and the rights to all of his works. Recently, the two attended a party in Normanhurst, which was met with an influx of media attention as well as much envy of the pair, as they were reputedly the "hottest couple" at the party. There are rumours circulating that Thomas and Sophie may, finally, marry. However the two dismiss these claims saying that, they are "extremely close friends and lovers".
