Neil Drysdale , A.P. Indy raced in 1991 and 1992. As a two-year old, he won the Grade IHollywood Futurity . At three, he took the Grade IBreeders' Cup Classic , theBelmont Stakes , the Grade ISanta Anita Derby , the Grade IISan Rafael Stakes , the Grade IIPeter Pan Stakes , and came third in theJockey Club Gold Cup . In 1992, he was voted theEclipse Award for Horse of the Year and theEclipse Award Champion three year old. In his career he had 11 starts, winning 8 and showing in one, earning a total of $2,979,815.A.P. Indy was inducted into the
National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 2000.Since being retired to stud, he has sired hundreds of winning Thoroughbreds. Through

Among his progency are Sweet Symphony, Suave, Congrats, 2003 U.S. Horse of the Year Mineshaft, Golden Missile, and Aptitude. In2006 he siredPreakness Stakes winnerBernardini . He is also the sire of history-making 2007 Belmont Stakes winner Rags to Riches, the first filly to win that race in over a century. As a broodmare sire, mares he has sired have produced 14 more stakes winners. He currently stands in stud atLane's End Farm , where he commands $300,000 for a single live cover breeding.References
