Valentin Mihov ( _bg. Валентин Михов) (born on
January 18 ,1954 inSofia ) is aBulgaria n football administrator. He is a former president of theBulgarian Football Union (BFU) and the current president of the Professional Football League (PFL).Biography
As a child Mihov played in
CSKA Sofia 's junior teams. Later he played forAkademik Svishtov while he was studying at theHigher Institute of Finances and Economics inSvishtov . He played for the team until 1978 having meanwhile reached theA grupa . Valentin Mihov earned a degree in International Economic Relations at theUniversity of National and World Economy inSofia . Then he worked at the Ministry of Transportation andKorekom .In 1991 he becomed the president of CSKA Sofia after
Boris Stankov left the position. In 1992 the club won theBulgarian football championship . Between 1993 and 1994 he was the president of the BFU. After this he became the managing director ofLitex Lovech andSlavia Sofia . In 1998 he was elected the president of the PFL. He ownsAkademik Svishtov since 2000. He was awarded the title Honorary Citizen of the town of Svishtov in 2004.
