Federal Communications Bar Association

The [http://www.fcba.org Federal Communications Bar Association] (FCBA) is the voluntary bar association for communications attorneys in the United States. Located in Washington, D.C., the FCBA focuses primarily on the regulatory agencies of the Federal Communications Commission and the state public utility commissions.

The FCBA has had a membership of around 3000, holds regular continuing legal education, and organizes topic related committees. The highlights of the year for the FCBA are the Chairman's dinner in December (an annual dinner for the FCC Chairman, where law firms compete to have the table closest to the Chairman, where law firm partners nervously drink, and where the audience politely laughs at the Chairman's jokes) and the FCBA Charity Auction in November.

The FCBA offers scholarship to students around the area.
