K-Directorate is a
fictional organized crime group in thetelevision series Alias, headquartered inSt. Petersburg . It is an enemy of theCentral Intelligence Agency and of theAlliance of Twelve . Rambaldi artifacts, including the journal containing Page 47. One of its foremost agents wasAnna Espinosa .K-Directorate met its downfall shortly after the appearance of a new group led by a mysterious figure known only as "The Man". The Man had launched an attack on
SD-6 and destroyed rival FTL. SD-6 learns of a meeting scheduled between The Man's criminal organization and K-Directorate inMoscow to discuss the sharing of Rambaldi technology.Sydney Bristow and Marcus Dixon are tasked to eavesdrop on the meeting.Julian Sark offers to transfer $100,000,000 to K-Directorate's Cayman Islands account. In exchange, Sark demands the Rambaldi journal. The offer is rejected by K-Directorate head Ilyich Ivankov, and Sark immediately assassinates him. The suddenly-promoted new leader of K-Directorate, Lavro Kessar, accepts the offer. At a briefingArvin Sloane advises his team that the body of Ivankov was delivered to K-Directorate headquarters by freight, packed in a crate of North Atlanticcod . Kessar has vanished and Sloane assumes that Sark is holding him hostage against the delivery of the manuscript inTunisia . Sydney intercepts the journal before Sark can take delivery. Kessar's ultimate fate is not revealed, although Sloane surmises that K-Directorate is likely to soon get another shipment of fish. The last time the organization is heard from as an active entity is when it hires an assassin called the Snowman to kill one Bentley Calder, a retiredKGB mole and associate ofIrina Derevko andAlexander Khasinau .Little to nothing is heard of K-Directorate after season 1. In season 4, Jack refers to "the fall of K-Directorate." Anna Espinosa, presumed dead after the organization's fall, resurfaces in the same episode as a freelance operative.
