- RANK
RANK (Receptor Activator of Nuclear Factor κ B), also known as TRANCE Receptor, is a type I membrane protein which is expressed on the surface of
osteoclasts and is involved in the activation of osteoclasts upon ligand binding. It is also expressed ondendritic cell s and facilitates immune signaling. RANK ligand is found on the surface ofstromal cell s,osteoblast s, andT cell s.cite journal | author = Suda T, Takahashi N, Udagawa N, Jimi E, Gillespie MT, Martin TJ | title = Modulation of osteoclast differentiation and function by the new members of the tumor necrosis factor receptor and ligand families | journal = Endocr.
