Pseudophakic photic phenomena, also known as pseudophakic dysphotopsia, is the set of aberrant optical phenomena which can afflict people who have an artificial
intraocular lens , orpseudophakia . Such lenses are most commonly implanted after the surgical removal of acataract .Although the application of modern technology to lens design has greatly reduced the incidence of pseudophakic dysphotopsia, it has not been entirely eliminated.
