Julia E. Sweig is the Nelson and David Rockefeller Senior Fellow for Latin America Studies and Director for Latin America Studies at the
Council on Foreign Relations and specializes in Latin America and U.S.-Latin America foreign policy. Sweig holds a B.A. from theUniversity of California, Santa Cruz and an M.A. and PhD. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. She is on the editorial board of "Foreign Affairs en Español". She was born in Chicago.Books
