Royal Melbourne, a high class neighborhood in Chicago's North Shore, is both a residential community and Greg Norman designed golf course. The neighborhood houses some of Chicago's elite professionals, including world-renowned lawyers, doctors, and athletes.

There are approximately 120 houses in the neighborhood, varying in size from 4,000 to 10,000 square feet. The entry is gated with a 24-hour security guard. The cost of becoming a member of Royal Melbourne is $50,000 with assesments of $600 a month.

The country club features 4 clay courts, a large pool, excellent dining services and a golf club. Members of the club include: Football coach Dick Jauron, Basketball player Michael Jordan, Football MVP Richard Dent, among others.

The average home value and per capita income is, in fact, higher in Royal Melbourne than communities such as Lake Forest, Hinsdale, Winnetka, and other affluent North Shore Suburbs.
