Gancarczyk started to play footbal in his early teens, and after progressig through all junior teams he made his way to a second division club
Podkarpacie Pustynia , after several seasons there and after a short spel at first Polish division clubHetman Zamość , Gancarczyk made his way to the capital ofUkraine ,Kyiv , where he joined localArsenal Kyiv . Having also briefly performed for west Ukrainian clubVolyn Lutsk , Gancarczyk was transferred toMetalist Kharkiv , where he has remained since, and has reached a position of vice-captain at the club.
