"Intermec Inc." is a major manufacturer and worldwide supplier of Automated identification and data capture equipment, including barcode scanners, barcode printers, mobile computers and RFID systems. Intermec's headquarters is located in Everett, WA, United States.

Intermec announced in July 2008 that it was awarded a contract by the UK's Royal Mail for 25,000 of their CN3 rugged mobile computers. Intermec beat out its largest competitor Symbol Technologies, which is now owned by Motorola. The first CN3's are said to be arriving in the late Summer of 2008.
