Ron Rordam

Ron Rordam (born April 12, 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Albert Harald Rordam and Betty Kreckel Rordam) is the current mayor of Blacksburg, Virginia. He graduated from East Jefferson High School in Metairie, LA in 1973 and from the University of New Orleans with Honors in History in 1977. He further received MA in History from Virginia Tech in 1979. He was elected to the Blacksburg, Virginia Town Council in 1996 and served as Vice Mayor of Blacksburg from 1996-1998, 2000-2002, and 2004-2006. Rordam was elected Mayor of Blacksburg on May 2, 2006. His current term began on July 1, 2006.
