Jason Russo

Heavy Metal vocalist Jason Russo. Born November 20, 1973 in Jacksonville, NC and raised in Buffalo, New York, Jason got into heavy metal at an early age with bands like Judas Priest, Metallica, Iron Maiden, & Queensrÿche.

Getting into his first band at the early age of 15, Jason first attempts at music were with a guitar and keyboard until he discovered that fronting a band is where he belongs. Taking vocals more seriously, he decided to give up smoking, stay clear of drugs, and take both classical and opera style vocal lessons.

Jason Russo's 3 1/2 octave range got the attention of National Recording artists Herod (Lifeforce Records) in 2005 after their previous vocalist Judah Nero left due to vocal problems. Herod went into the studio in January 2006 to record Rich Man's War, Poor Man's Fight with producer Doug White. The record was released in March 2006 US/Canada and April 2006 in Europe.
