Native American Poet Kaluyuti (proper spelling = Kaluyu'ti) is known for his social-political commentary. He has released "Room To Be Friends: confused and untrained thoughts" on Demon-Eye Productions independent publishing company in 1997. Recently Kaluyuti has also recorded a CD of his poetry put to music. "The Peaceful Warrior" is the first musical recording released on Demon-Eye Records in 2004. The CD encompasses the social-political mentallity that is the backbone of all Kaluyu'ti's new writings. There are very strong expressions against racism, political corruption, social injustices, drug addiction/use and gang-related violence that is being glorified in hip hop music of today.

Kaluyuti has been active and involved in his community in London, Ontario, Canada. At one time he was a member of The Board of Directors for N'Amerind Indian Friendship Centre for 2 years, a member of C.A.S.N.P. (Canadian Alliance in Solidarity with Native Peoples) for numerous years. Kaluyuti has also assisted in organizating Arts Exhibitions and events for First Nations as well as designing websites for non-profit organizations. This is in addition to working full time and guest hosting Smoke Signals Aboriginal Radio Programming on CHRW 94.9FM (Radio Western).

Kaluyuti is currently writing for his second musical recording possibly titled "My Life is...War...Is My Life". The upcoming CD will feature "The Beast Has Been Released" a track written about Karla Homolka, who made a "deal with the devil" to got a 12-year sentence for her part in the kidnap, torture, rape and murder of two Ontario teenage schoolgirls.

Kaluyuti's new CD will also feature "Time 4 Justice" a track about political prisoner Leonard Peltier, a Native activist who was framed and convicted of murdering 2 FBI agents in the mid 1970's. Peltier had repeatedly been denied his freedom while U.S. government and law officials have admitted wrongdoing.
