Lelant inCornwall ,United Kingdom .The station is on theSt Ives Bay Line convert|1|mi|km north of St Erth.There is just a single platform; trains towards St Ives run from right to left when standing on it. Limited car parking is available, adjacent to the platform. The village is at the top of the road that climbs the hill opposite the station entrance.
Lelant is a request stop for all trains.
History
The station was opened by the
Great Western Railway on1 June 1877 on their new branch line from St Erth to St Ives. The original wooden station building is now a private dwelling and has been extended in a sympathetic style.A
level crossing at the St Erth end of the platform gave access to aslipway A short branch line was laid out onto the wharf beyond the station. The crossing gates were hung ongranite pillars in the local style. Three of these still stand by the line.References
