Tandridge is a local government district in
Surrey ,England . Its council offices are based inOxted . It is named for an ancient Tandridge hundred of Surrey that covered roughly the same area.The district was formed on
1 April 1974 , under theLocal Government Act 1972 , by the merger ofCaterham and Warlingham urban district along withGodstone Rural District . Since 2000,parish council s once again cover the district.The 2007 borough elections produced 30 Conservative seats, 10 Liberal Democrat seats, 1 Labour seat and 1 other.
