Sound Generator was conceived by composer Andrew T. Mackay and musician Christopher D. Elkins in 1999 following a lengthy successful working partnership at Gormac Studios in West London.
Elkins currently publishes the site from their central London address in Fitzrovia, W1, and continues to involve himself in editorial, while Mackay occupies a behind-the-scenes role, while continuing his composition work. Both continue to follow successful careers as musicians, with Mackay releasing his Six Degrees Records’ debut as part of the Bombay Dub Orchestra in March 2006.
