The newspaper is one of 11 dailies published in Sindhi in Karachi. It is a member of the APNS, the Associated Press News Service, which is a source of news, feature, interview and columnist material. Pakistan has a free press; however, there is significant pressure on reporters and editors from political and religious factions toward self-censorship.

In addition to daily newspaper publication, the Daily Hilal is part of the growing digital age, with a full service website - www.dailyhilal.com - electronic story links, pictures and videos on line, and continuously updated headlines. It is available only in Sindhi. The Daily Hilal is also on Facebook
