"C Bear and Jamal" was an animated children's television show that aired on the Fox Kids programming block in 1996.

Characters & voices

*(C-Bear - Tone Loc) - C-Bear is a wise teddy bear with a hip hop look. He comes to life when Jamal is around and is always ready to give Jamal advice. He has the power to take Jamal and himself on wild adventures. C-Bear is based, in part, on Tone Loc's childhood teddy bear with which he would go on fantasy adventures.
*(Jamal Wingo - Arthur Reggie III) - Jamal is a young gullible 9 year old who always seems to be in a jam. Luckily for him, he has C-bear to help him.
*(Hawthorne - George L. Wallace) - Hawthorne is the father of Jamal, who always seems to be hungry and always questions Jamal why he still keeps C-bear.
*(Grandma - Dawnn Lewis) - Jamal`s grandmother, who cooks the food for her family and is very nice to everybody.
*(Grandpa - Darryl Sivad) - Jamal`s grandfather, who is bald and almost never leaves his chair.
*(Maya - Kim Fields Freeman) - Jamal`s friend, who is very loud but hates it when she is told that she is loud. She is very smart.
*Big Chill - Aries Spears) - Jamal's chubby friend, who is always hungry. He sounds like he has cold. Whenever he`s entering a room he`ll say the b-i-g c-h-i double l is in the hizouse.
*Kwame - Aries Spears) Jamal's friend, who is dressed in African clothes every day and believes in power to the people and whenever he is displeased by something he`ll say this is a conspiracy by the man.
*Chipster - Jeannie Elias) - Jamal's odd friend, who likes to make his friends laugh and never thinks of himself as weird.
*Kim - Margaret Cho) - Jamal's Korean friend, who is always on Maya's side and hates to see her friends being picked on.
*Javier - Paul Rodríguez - Jamal's Mexican friend, who doesn't really have anything mean to say.

*In the episode "Dumbing Down", Jamal shows Maya a book of supermodels, the one on the 2nd page is a coincidental look-alike of Carmen Sandiego. Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? was also a program broadcast by Fox Kids.
