CFB Mountainview

CFB Mountainview

Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Mountainview was the name for an airfield located south of Belleville in Prince Edward County, Ontario, geographically close to CFB Trenton. Now, it operates as CFB Trenton Mountain View Detachment. In 2006 the Department of National Defence started construction on a new gravel runway, parallel to the existing runway. The gravel strip will be used for training aircrew who need to use short and unpaved runways.
